Sagging Skin

the Stockbridge clinic

What is sagging skin?

As we age, changes in every layer of the face and neck can lead to the appearance of sagging skin.

Boney support lessens, the fat in our face that gives a “plump” youthfulness lessens and loss of structural proteins such as collagen & elastin in the skin leads to stretching and sagging of the skin.

Over time, age-related changes and weight loss can also result in sagging skin on the body, with common areas of concern the arms, abdomen and buttocks.

What treatments help sagging skin?

In order to effectively improve the appearance of sagging skin, an individualised treatment plan that addresses age-related changes in every layer should be considered. No two people experience the same ageing process so a comprehensive consultation with one of our expert clinicians can determine the main underlying reason for any age-related changes experienced and which treatments may best target these.

Treatments may include volume replacement with dermal fillers, collegan-stimulating inejctables such as Radiesse and skin rightening treatments such as SecretRF.

Collagen Biostimulators

Collagen-stimulating fillers, like Radiesse, are designed to improve skin volume and texture by stimulating the body’s natural collagen production. Radiesse contains calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a gel, which are injected into the skin to provide immediate volume. Over time, the body absorbs the filler’s gel component, leaving behind a scaffold that encourages collagen growth. This helps restore lost volume, smooth out wrinkles, and improve skin elasticity.

Chin & Jawline Filler

Chin and jawline fillers are non-surgical treatments used to enhance the shape, definition, and balance of the lower face. Hyaluronic acid-based fillers are typically injected into the chin and along the jawline to add volume, smooth out irregularities, or create sharper contours. This treatment can provide immediate results for addressing concerns with facial definition.

Cheek & Midface Filler

Cheek filler is a non-surgical treatment used to restore volume, contour, and definition to the cheeks. Typically composed of hyaluronic acid or other biocompatible substances, the filler is injected into specific areas of the cheek to lift sagging skin, smooth out hollows, and enhance facial symmetry. The hyaluronic acid attracts water, helping to hydrate and plump the skin. This creates a natural, youthful look by replacing lost volume and improving facial contours.

Secret RF Microneedling

Secret RF is an advanced skin rejuvenation treatment that combines microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) energy. During the procedure, fine needles create tiny channels in the skin, while RF energy is delivered to deeper layers, stimulating collagen production and tightening the skin. This treatment effectively improves skin texture, reduces wrinkles, scars, and pigmentation, and enhances overall skin tone and elasticity. It’s minimally invasive with little downtime and offers long-lasting, natural-looking results.
